Jobs that zap your time and energy

Do you control your life? I asked myself this one day as I was contemplating life, but suddenly I thought to myself at that time, that here I was working a couple of jobs that meant absolutely nothing to me…it was just a job.

Jobs that rob you of time!

These jobs took up copious amounts of my time and energy for little in return – little time, little pay, and absolutely no control over any of it. Someone else was in control of that part of my life, which was a fair chunk.

Do you have control of your life?

There was no yearly holidays and Christmas and birthdays were always a nightmare because there was little money to go around a family of eight. There was always a bill to be paid even when all the bills were paid. So even though the kids dad (my husband), and I were working full-time, we were getting nowhere. The people we worked for had control over when, where, what, why and who. We had no control whatsoever.

Year after year after year…

Year after year I would consider working for myself but it seemed such a hard thing to do and where would I get the money from? After all, it would require a significant amount of money, wouldn’t it? Alas, another year went by and life was just the same as it always was. This went on for years…

Working to make your bosses life better than yours!

Finally, 5 of the kids had started their own careers and were becoming independent. The thing is though, they were doing the same as myself and their dad had done. They were giving up their lives to make their bosses live better than their own. This made me really think about how I could change this, at least for my immediate family.

Make Money Facebook Ads

It wasn’t until almost all the kids had left school that I started to take notice of internet ads on Facebook, where people were claiming to make loads of money online. So, I started to explore and there was a bit to read and sort as there was a ton of scams and still is.

Eventually, I started to get really serious about researching various ads, and I read a lot of books from authors such as Robert Kiyosaki and similar authors. I read their stories of how they ‘made it’ and from people who were writing about their experiences as well about what they were doing and how they were doing it.

Spending hard earned money on crap!

I also spent a bit of money trying to find what the best online opportunity for me would be. Nothing I tried and spent money on work. It was still really hard to make anything work that didn’t require a truckload of dosh I didn’t have. It felt like I should have just dumped a truckload of crap in the front yard instead and be done with it. But even when your feeling crap for wasting time and money, there are lessons to be learned, good and bad.

Just when you thought to throw the towel in…

I was beginning to think that there was nothing out there that I could trust and have faith in. This was a scary feeling but I wouldn’t give up and then when I was at my lowest and broke with no job, I came across a review about an affiliate marketing training platform called Lurn. It had great reviews and it was being promoted by Robert Kiyosaki, so I thought that I would take a closer look – however, I was being very cautious so took extra measures to do my homework and research on Lurn.

Now I had the right one…or did I?

Lurn had the training that I knew I would need or thought I would need, and it was being endorsed by one of the rock stars of rags to riches, Robert Kiyosaki. I was ready and after all the price was still a small fortune but what I was about to ‘lurn’ was going to turn me into an email marketing Guru in no time. The day I was ready to part with my small fortune and give it all up to Lurn, something out of the blue happened. Another gig came along unexpectedly.

What gig was that you ask?

Just as I was about to sign up with Lurn, I stumbled upon an unremarkable looking web page without the bells and whistles about online scams. I decided to read the article which was a Wealthy Affiliate Review and it was a guy named Kyle. I read the entire article and clicked a link at the end of it that took me straight to Wealthy Affiliate.

How to succeed without a college degree

When there I was able to try the platform out and experience 10 free lessons and it didn’t require me to have a credit card – it also didn’t require me to have a college degree or even any experience…so I went for it. After all, if I didn’t like it I could just walk away without spending a dime – so I had nothing to lose…
